EL-CLASSICO: Messi Stuns in a Hatrick as Barcelona edge Real Madrid 4 - 3 in Epic Match (MUST WATCH)

Lionel Messi took to the pitch at the Bernabeu looking to break the all-time goalscoring record in Clasico matches. He delivered in spectacular fashion. The Catalans trailed two goals to one just before half-time when Messi picked out Neymar with a cute pass into the box. The Brazilian was tackled but Messi picked up the loose ball and fired a fierce drive past Diego Lopez in the Madrid goal to write his name in the history books.

The second half continued in the same vein, with both sides attacking with verve but looking weak defensively. Madrid finally made the breakthrough in controversial fashion when Ronaldo appeared to be fouled outside the box, but the referee pointed to the spot. Ronaldo converted to put Los Blancos ahead. The lead didn't last long as Neymar raced through on goal after a piercing pass from Messi, and was brought

down by Sergio Ramos. The referee pointed to the spot once more, and showed the Spain international a red card. Messi stepped up and cooly placed the ball into the back of the net, levelling the score at 3-3.

Barcelona carried on taking the game to Madrid looking to get themselves back into the title race. Then with 8 minutes to go Iniesta was brought down by Xabi Alonso and the referee gave another penalty. Messi stepped up and struck the ball into the top corner to secure the win for the Catalans.
