David Moyes laments Says--‘It’s unfortunate I wasn’t given more time at Manchester United’...LOL

David Moyes, former Manchester United coach is still ruing the decision of the management of the team to terminate his appointment after a record of losses in their campaign for silverware last season.

Moyes, who was appointed after Alex Ferguson, arguably the Premier League’s most successful coach, retired from the team.

Moyes was shown the way out in April, after only 10 months in charge of the team.

He said he thought he would be given more time to implement a revamp at the club and that United players including Wayne Rooney and Darren Fletcher had contacted him with messages of support after he left.

Moyes said: “I believe I had nothing but support from Sir Alex during my short period as manager.

“It was unfortunate I wasn’t given more time to succeed. It could well be that gone are the days of long-term planning at United.”

He said he has received a lot of “very good” job offers after leaving the Manchester team but he has chosen

to take a break from it all and enjoy “watching and observing football throughout the world.”

Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal, 62, was last month named as Manchester United manager on a three-year contract, with retired midfield veteran Ryan Giggs as his assistant.
