The home is constructed from wood, stone, straw, and has a sod roof. It’s heated with a wood fireplace and has a solar panel for power. Most materials were scavenged and refurbished appliances. It’s creative, artistic, elegant, and cozy. It is, in fact, magical. See more photos below:
He was fortunate in obtaining the land for his home. The plot, a bit of a large piece, was given to him in exchange for its caretaking.
Most amazingly, the home didn’t require years of training or experience. Simon had none.
He’s not an architect. He’s not an engineer. He’s not a carpenter. He started from scratch in every sense.
The tools are fairly simple. The main concession to modernity was a chainsaw, which he used to cut down about 30 small trees.
No old growth forest fell to his family’s needs. He focused on tools that used his own energy, like shovel, chisel, and hammer.
Here’s is how it looks on the paper!
It took him only four months to produce this lovely home
It can be the same kind of music or the same hobbies or even just a love of books. If there are things you both like to do, that’s a good sign you are entering a marriage of happiness and longevity.
1. She’s Nurturing
A woman who will make a good wife has to be caring and nurturing. She’s going to be majorly responsible for the well-being of you and your children. She should be kind and compassionate, willing to take care of others without grumbling.
2. She’s Dependable
A great wife should be someone you can trust and rely on. She should be someone who will support her man
no matter what, someone you know you can count on, come rain, come shine.
3. She’s Respectful
Disrespect is one of the major causes of marital dysfunction. The woman you decide to marry should respect you no matter what. She should respect your family and your friends, even if she doesn’t like them. She should be a respectful person all round.
4. She’s Humble
A proud woman will encourage grudges and nothing destroys relationships faster than malice. The ideal wife should be able to apologize even when she isn’t in the wrong.
5. She’s emotionally stable
The woman you decide to marry should be stable emotionally and otherwise. An emotionally unstable woman can’t handle the pressures of marriage. She should be mature and know how to handle situations without constantly losing her cool. You don’t want to marry a woman who will break down in tears over every little challenge.
6. She loves children
The ideal wife should love children. She should like to have them around her and willing to play with them always. This is a sign that she’ll be capable of taking care of the family you build together.
7. She can cook
She doesn’t have to be a chef but a great wife should be able to feed her family.
8. You have a lot in common
It can be the same kind of music or the same hobbies or even just a love of books. If there are things you both like to do, that’s a good sign you are entering a marriage of happiness and longevity.
9. You have great communication
There is nothing more important in a relationship than communication, and if you are considering making it official by marrying her, you have to feel comfortable talking with her about any and everything. The more you communicate with your woman, the less likely the two of you will get into arguments because you both will be able to talk about your problems instead of holding them in.
10. You can laugh together
Mutual laughter is an essential component of a strong and healthy marriage. Romance is much better if you can see humour in the little things and can have a laugh together.
Above all, you must remember that there’s no such thing as a perfect person so there can’t be a perfect wife. Love is about accepting that person you’ve chosen even with all their flaws and deciding to love them no matter what.

Bryant, of Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, said: ‘I miss my sister a lot and can’t wait until she gives birth. She is due in a few weeks.’
Bryant was diagnosed with the virus in July of last year after a rare strain of hepatitis he believes he picked up while on holiday in Majorca left him with a catalogue of health problems.
It caused him to develop liver failure and end up a with a blood platelet count of just four – the normal level is between 150 and 400.
He suffered bone marrow failure and had to have two bone marrow transplants which
first required him to have chemotherapy to clear his existing bone marrow.
He was left with a weakened immune system, which caused him to contract pneumonia which his mother says almost killed him.

Bryant (pictured with his mother, Leanne) has cytomegalovirus which is usually harmless in adults but can cause deafness and learning disabilities in unborn babies
Leanne, 36, said: ‘At one point I honestly thought he was going to die.
‘He had to have chemotherapy to get rid of all of his own blood platelets, otherwise they would have clashed with the transplants.
‘Bryant lost all his hair, he was very sick. He is a teenager, and teenage boys usually like to be around girls.‘It is a shame he can’t spend time with girls, but I am just so glad he is out of hospital.’
Bryant has been unable to attend school for the past 15 months after he was diagnosed with liver failure in October 2012.
After undergoing the bone marrow transplants last year, he spent five months in isolation in the Royal Victoria Infirmary, in Newcastle, receiving chemotherapy.
Following his recovery, he had been due to start at a co-ed school.
However, after doctors told him he was suffering from CMV, which is harmful to unborn babies, he has been forced to attend a boys-only school instead.
CMV is a common virus that is part of the herpes family of viruses.
It causes few symptoms in most people and so most do not know they are infected.
Once someone has been infected, the virus stays in their body for the rest of their life without usually causing problems.
However, it can sometimes cause symptoms if a person has a weakened immune system, for example, if they are having chemotherapy.
CMV can also cause serious problems if a woman becomes infecting during pregnancy as this can lead to hearing loss and learning difficulties in the baby.
Bryant will start at St Aidan’s Catholic Academy this week, but says he is looking forward to getting out of the house, despite the lack of girls.
He added: ‘It was so boring when I was in hospital. I couldn’t have many visitors, in case I caught an infection.

Bryant currently has to avoid his sister, Terri, 20, because she is expecting a baby. He says he really misses her and cannot wait for the baby to be born so he can see her again
‘It is not great being dangerous to girls, but at least I will be able to spend time with people my own age again.’
A spokeswoman for St Aidan’s Catholic Academy said: ‘We are going to admit Bryant to the school this week.
‘We are happy to support Bryant and his family as he integrates back into full-time education.’

The Guardian reports:
A schoolteacher has been arrested after hundreds of living and dead pythons in plastic bins were found stacked floor to ceiling inside his stench-filled suburban California home.

As investigators wearing respirator masks carried the reptiles out of the house by the score and stacked them in the driveway, reporters and passers-by gagged at the smell. Some held their noses or
walked away from the five-bedroom home to get a breath of air.
“The smell alone I feel like I need to take a shower for a week,” said police Corporal Anthony Bertagna. “They’re pretty much in all the bedrooms everywhere.”
Officers said they found more than 400 snakes at least 220 of them dead as well as numerous mice and rats, in the Santa Ana home of William Buchman after neighbors complained about the smell. He was arrested for investigation of neglect in the care of animals, Bertagna said.
Buchman, 53, was still in custody Wednesday afternoon, Bertagna said. The Newport-Mesa Unified School District, where he works, declined comment, saying it was a police matter.
Buchman has not yet had a court appearance or been formally charged and it wasn’t clear if he had an attorney.
Authorities said he lived alone, and neighbours said his mother, who once lived with him, had died within the past few years.
Sondra Berg, the supervisor for the Santa Ana police department’s animal services division, said four of the five bedrooms in the home were stacked from floor to ceiling and wall to wall with plastic bins on wooden and metal racks. The bins were packed so tightly, Berg said, that they didn’t require lids because there was no room for the snakes to slither out.
Each snake was catalogued by name and type, and Berg said Buchman told authorities he was involved in a snake-breeding enterprise.
“House of horrors: That’s the best way to describe it,” Berg said of the house. “I mean there’s so many dead snakes … ranging from dead for months to just dead. There’s an infestation of rats and mice all over the house. There are rats and mice in plastic storage tubs that are actually cannibalising each other.”
Some of the living snakes were little more than skeletons, police said, while others, only recently dead, were covered with flies and maggots.
