After A Man's Mother Dies, He Does The UNTHINKABLE To His Wife When She Sings "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead!"

“It is my house now. You are not getting in.”

Um, what?!

So, then he locked Beverly in a shed, which she escaped from, only to be punched, pinned to a bed, then

dragged out by her legs.

Hubs defended himself by saying that his wife never liked his mother anyway, but repented, adding:

“I was provoked but I am sorry for what I have done to my wife and regret everything I did. I was pushed towards it although I should not have done it.”

Granted, Beverly was pretty insensitive to her grieving husband, but it sounds like he’s a piece of work anyway! At least he apologized.

A Woman Claims She Saw Missing Malaysian Plane Sinking

An eagle-eyed passenger on a flight across the Indian Ocean may have seen the missing Malaysian airplane sinking into the sea the day it vanished – but nobody took her seriously, she said.

Raja Dalelah Raja Latife, 53, was flying from Saudi Arabia to Malaysia near the Andaman Islands on March 8, when she spotted what she believes was flight MH370 below.

"It looked like an airplane . . . I took a closer look and was shocked to see what looked like the tail and wing of an aircraft on the water," she told the Malaysia's Star Online. "I had seen several shipping liners and islands from my window earlier. Then, I saw the silvery object."

Latife said she quickly reported the sighting to a flight attendant, who closed her window shade and told her to go sleep.

A pilot who wished to remain anonymous later claimed Latife was too high up to recognize objects below with accuracy.

"Along any flight path, especially a long-haul one such as between Jeddah and Kuala Lumpur, the altitude of the plane will be maintained at around 35,000ft once it is in the air. "This is roughly seven miles above sea level. How can anyone see anything like a boat or ship on the ground from so high up?" he questioned.

But Latife was so convinced, she filed a police report – five days before search parties fanned out in the exact same area, she said.

"I know what I saw. I am convinced that I saw the aircraft. And I will not lie. I had just returned from my pilgrimage," she said.

On Friday, planes and ships searched the southern Indian Ocean but found no debris from the missing Boeing 777, Australia’s acting prime minister said.

The plane, carrying 239 people, lost contact with ground control before vanishing on March 8, sparking a massive hunt for the jet.

Someone shut off the plane’s transponder around 1:20 a.m. The jet later turned west towards the Indian Ocean, authorities said.

"ACTING": Jim Iyke's Proposal To Nadia Buari Isn't Real?

Photo - Jim Iyke, Nadia Buari proposal, a fake?

Yesterday, March 21, left social media walls awash with congratulatory messages to Jim Iyke and girlfriend Nadia Buari over their engagement aired on his Africa magic ‘Jim Iyke Unscripted’ reality TV show, but new developments suggests, the ‘proposal’ may have just been acts for the cameras.

Jim Iyke’s girl friend came on twitter to drop very disturbing tweets (read below).

Photo - Jim Iyke, Nadia Buari proposal, a fake?

Photo - Jim Iyke, Nadia Buari proposal, a fake?

Is this what we think it is?

The same social media platforms that was awash with congratulatory messsages now have tempers flaring… ‘Jim Iyke wouldn’t dare!!’ The Ghanaian president himself has even congratulated the couple for petes sake!

But he could dare.

If this proposal isn’t real, then this wouldn’t be the first time the actor is fooling the world.

In June last year, Jim Iyke’s ex, Brazilian model girlfriend Keturah Hamilton (turned whistle blower) revealed that her tantrums also aired on the reality show had all been faked. She wrote…

“I played along in the reality show as if I truly was a jealous and crazy lover. It was an act, … now I feel as if Jim set me up…”

Jim suffered severe backlash after that revelation, with the reality show suffering a big dent in credibility.

The actor is yet to return to the country and has not responded to any of our inquiries.

NATIONAL CONFERENCE: North, South On Collision Course

There are strong indications that delegates from the North at the ongoing National Conference in Abuja are set to shoot down any demand for resource control at the conference.

This may be the first major area of conflict at the conference inaugurated by President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday as delegates from the South- South, South-West and other parts of the country are hell-bent on pushing for fiscal federalism.

Delegates from the South-West, South-South and South-East, in separate interviews with Saturday PUNCH on Wednesday, said that they would press for resource control and strong federating units, describing them as the bedrock of equity, fairness and good governance in the country.

But their counterparts from the North said the region would oppose any demand for fiscal federalism and resource control, saying demanding such could lead to the disintegration of the country.

A northern delegate and former spokesperson for the Arewa Consultative Forum, Mr. Anthony Sani, said the North would not support the idea of having a weak centre and strong federating units, saying this would be confederation.

Sani warned that allowing states to control their resources which will lead to a weak centre would disintegrate the country.

He said, “Those in favour of allowing the geopolitical zones to become federating units that have their own state police and local governments as well as control their resources are those agitating for a weak centre – a confederation arrangement – that can presage the split of this country and it is selfish.

“I believe any arrangement which can lead to the splitting of the country should be avoided. Given purposeful leadership that is determined to bring out the best in everyone, Nigerians will be better off in a one united and strong country than in a fragmented one.”

Sani, however, explained that the North was never opposed to tampering with the exclusive and concurrent lists.

He said what the North was opposed to was what would lead to the fragmentation of Nigeria, noting that the country would be better-off “in a united and strong country than in a fragmented one.”

The former ACF spokesman said, “the North is not opposed to tampering with the exclusive and concurrent lists in such manner that the centre is balanced by appropriate state level power. This should be such that the centre is strong enough to keep the country one and united but not too strong that the country can tilt towards a unitary system.”

Another northern delegate to the conference, Mohammed Kumalia, said that he would join other northerners to kick against agitations for resource control.

Kumalia who is from Borno State, in a telephone interview with one of our correspondents in Abuja, said that those advocating for resource control have selfish intentions.

He said, “There is no part of the country that has not been endowed with resources, if anybody wants resource control, fine, but develop other resources first.

“Let the country invest the same resources expended on developing petroleum resources in other resources in the country, after this is done and these other resources are developed, then every region can control its resources.

“For you to say from today, let every region begin to control its resources will not be fair. It is like cheating people from other places who used their sweat and labour to develop the petroleum resources. They went to farm using traditional implement to produce groundnuts, cotton and cocoa; it was through hard labour not mechanised agriculture and this was how they got money to prospect for oil. Now you have oil which is nobody’s sweat and some people are now talking about resource control; it is not fair.”

But one of the representatives of the South-South at the conference, Prof. Kimse Okoko, in an interview with one of our correspondents in Port Harcourt, said that the zone was at the conference to canvass for resource control by the federating units of the country.

Okoko said that the nation could only move forward under true federalism. The delegate explained that resource control was subsumed under true federalism.

Okoko, a former president of the Ijaw National Congress, noted that the centre should not be stronger than the federating units in a true federal system of government.

He added that it was wrong for any state in Nigeria to be looking up to the centre for its share of the nation’s revenue.

He stated, “There is a broad consensus in this country that what we are practising is not federalism. If there is this kind of consensus, we must find a way of reverting to the practice of true federalism.

“For example, in the 1999 Constitution, the Federal Government is assigned about 68 functions out of 90 functions and the remaining functions have been placed under a Concurrent List, which means that they (remaining functions) are for both the federal and the state governments.

“The system is over-centralised so much that the states are virtually mere vassals to the centre. We cannot make any progress with that kind of structure. Our hope is to restructure the Nigerian system along the line of a true federal system, where the component units own and control resources and pay appropriate taxes to the centre.”

According to him, the over-dependence of the federating units on the Federal Government for funds does not encourage competition.

He added that rather than promote competition, federalism as currently being practised in Nigeria, had been encouraging indolence and killing creativity.

Okoko described resource control as one of the realities of a federal system of government, maintaining that states should only pay taxes to the centre in a true federalism.

He said, “The federal system is noted for certain realities and resource control is one of them. Resource control simply means that the federating units own and control their resources under a federal system.

“What the entire federating units do is to pay their appropriate taxes. So, if we do not restructure this country along the line of true federalism, we will continue to face serious challenges.

“You will note that most of the states are not economically viable. They have killed the spirit of competition. Across the various facets of the economy in this country, there is no competition.

“People are just waiting to get their share at the end of the month, then they go back, wait until 30 days, and then come back again. We cannot run the system like that if we want to move forward as a country.”

A delegate from the South-West, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, said that the zone would canvass true federalism that would ensure that the federating units were strong.

Odumakin, who is also the spokesperson for the Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, stated that the South-West would convince delegates from other zones to support true federalism and resource control.

“Since federalism consists of a centre and federating units, we should guarantee autonomy of the federating units . We should allow them a measure of control over their resources,” he said.

On his part, a South-East delegate, Dr. Joe Nwaorgu, said that the zone would canvass for a weak centre and strong federating units.

Nwaorgu, who is also the Secretary General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, however, said that the position of the South-East on fiscal federalism differed from that of the South-South.

Nwaorgu said that the South-East was not totally in support of the South-South’s agenda of having a weak centre and stronger federating units.

He, however, said that the South-East could eventually throw its weight behind the South-South if the issues that would be raised at the conference concerning fiscal federalism and resource control were “favourable” to Ndigbo.

Nwaorgu stated, “We want a weak centre and stronger federating units, but that does not mean that our position is the same as the South-South people.

“No doubt, that is what we are going for and that is what the conference is all about, but it is too early for me to tell.

“The arguments that would be raised at the conference concerning these issues will eventually determine our decision.”

He said, “All these are in the template for discussion. Above all, we want equity and justice for all Nigerians. In other words, we are carrying a Nigerian template that will benefit all Nigerians.”

In an interview with one of our correspondents, the President and Chairman of Council, Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), Dr. Nelson Uwaga, said professional bodies stand for equity, fairness, justice and good governance at the conference. He said these principles would enhance the quality of lives of Nigerians.

Uwaga, who is also a delegate at the conference, believes that Nigeria is practising unitary federalism, noting that the nation’s professional groups are of the opinion that the centre should be weak while the confederating units are strong.

He said, “The sharing formula has to change; it should tilt more towards the states and local governments so that the people can feel the impact of governance more. In all honesty, the sharing formula is currently too tilted to the centre.’’ He however said that the centre should be allowed to manage critical areas such as security.

Sitting down for long hours makes your butt bigger - Scientists reveal

I know many ladies would be happy about this. Want to have a big butt without surgery? All you have to do is sit down for long hours. Scientists at Tel Aviv University have confirmed that sitting really does cause a fat backside.

The more we sit down, the more fat cells in the buttocks expand creating a rounder derriere.

They revealed that 'Cellular expansion' plays a key role in fat production because the pressure on cells causes them to increase in size by 50 per cent.Fat cells exposed to sustained, chronic pressure - such as what happens to the buttocks when you're sitting down - experienced accelerated growth of lipid droplets, which are molecules that carry fats.

'Contrary to muscle and bone tissue, which get mechanically weaker with disuse, fat depots in fat cells expanded when they experienced sustained loading by as much as 50 per cent. This was a substantial discovery.'

Rev. Chris Okotie writes on the NIS employment test tragedy

See the rest of what he wrote below:

This tragedy mirrors the desperate situation of Nigeria.

One only hopes that this unfortunate loss of lives, coupled with the incessant Boko Haram killings and other youth-based violence, would serve as a wake-up call to the summiteers, that this country needs a new governance paradigm. If the conference cannot produce that, then the over N7 billion invested in it would amount to another colossal waste of our scarce national resources.

It is an irony that each delegate would earn a whopping N12 million for the 3-month duration of the conference. By conservative estimates, N12 million is enough to provide self-employment for 12 resourceful graduates, and N7 billion could do likewise for thousands, some of whom perished under chaotic conditions in stadia around the country, while waiting for a poorly organised aptitude test by the NIS. The young graduate job-seekers who turned out for the tests filled up many stadia around the country, as if they came to watch high-profile football matches.

These hapless chaps paid N1,000.00 (One Thousand Naira) processing fee each. So, the Nigerian Immigration Service must have made quite some money, considering that in Lagos and Abuja alone, over 125,000 applicants turned up. We may be looking at millions of Naira that this monetised recruitment exercise generated for the NIS. There was record turnout in each of the 34 states for just 45,000 slots that the NIS advertised. The alarming job application horror is a clear evidence of the inability of our public institutions to manage events, resulting in poor crowd control and avoidable deaths through stampede. This is not an isolated case, it is a regular occurrence.

When things go wrong, our leaders seldom take responsibility. The NIS has tried to duck charges of culpability, by claiming that it outsourced the recruitment exercise to a private firm which actually collected the N1,000.00 levy. As usual, a panel would be setup to investigate this incident, followed by a white paper, and then, the report may end up gathering dust in a cabinet somewhere in Abuja, while government officials focus on the more important 2015 general elections in a country where competition for political power is about resource control, not the promotion of the general good of the people.

The fact that four expectant mothers died in this incident, with about 700 others reportedly injured, is enough reason why those who organised this event should not escape appropriate sanctions. Unfortunately, the Jonathan Administration is not known to punish errant public officials, although the NIS boss and the Internal Affairs Minister have been queried. In other countries where human life is valued, the President should compensate the victims and, more importantly, prevent a future re-occurrence. But the Federal Government has other priorities.

For me, and also for the FRESH Democratic Party, which I lead, nothing else matters in our quest for a functional, self-accounting and representative democracy, than a fundamental change of the prevailing order which is responsible for our national predicament. It should be reasonably assumed that delegates to the conference would know this, but I have my fears.

Many commentators have observed that the composition of the delegates to this National Conference is skewed in favour of the old politicians, and some of those who ran this country aground. How can we expect any meaningful change from this set of people? 20th century ideas cannot solve 21st century problems. If you look critically, the composition of the participants in this conference reflects the geriatric propensity of our polity.

All the progressive nations of the world, especially those who have graduated from under-development to emerging markets, are being governed today by new sets of leaders, whose orientation reflects the new world order, and are thus able to successfully confront the challenges they encounter in their respective nations.

As this NIS recruitment tragedy shows, our meal ticket educational system is not designed to drive industrial development or produce resourceful, self-employed folks who can create opportunities, rather depend on employment. The belated introduction of entrepreneur studies in the newly remoulded college curricula is like putting the cart before the horse. While vocational studies have been introduced, there are no teachers to instruct carpenters, electricians etc.

I have long been advocating a shift in the paradigm of our educational sector, which should be anchored on Human Capital Development. Science subjects are foundation of technology. If I were the President, this would be the mantra that would drive my reform agenda because without a solid, qualitative, continuous stream of local production of graduates in the technical, or science-related courses, our dream of industrial revolution as recently articulated in a widely publicized launch by Mr. President, would be a mirage.

The secret of Asia industrial miracle is that, leaders of that continent sent their students to Europe and America. The returning Asian students, who went to learn the technological wizardry of the West, laid the foundation of the technological revolution that produced the Tigers, who now threaten the scientific dominance of Europe and America. This is a model we could learn from.

Kenya female lawmakers stage walkout as polygamy law is passed

It was a sitting filled with drama today in Kenya's parliament as female members of the assembly staged a walkout during proceedings in the parliament. Their grievance was as a result of a new law their male counterparts all favored which they see as derogatory to the rights of Kenyan women.

Prior to today when the Kenyan Marriage Amended Bill was passed into law, it was customary in Kenya for men to seek the permission of their first wife before bringing in another woman as second wife or even marry as many as they want. The men obviously woke up from their slumber and decided to remove that clause in their constitution and this infuriated the women big time.

Mohammed Junet, an MP representing a constituency from the western Nyanza province,

"When you marry an African woman, she must know the second one is on the way and a third wife… this is Africa," Kenya's Capital News website quotes him as saying.

MPs Aden Duale, Jakoyo Midiwo and Junet Mohammed said it was against tradition to seek consent to marry a second wife and claimed their female colleagues had an ulterior motive in trying to push for the clause.

"I want my Christian brothers to read the Old Testament, King David and King Solomon never consulted anybody to marry a second wife," said Duale.

The women would have none of those talk as they believe it is a sign of respect for a man to discuss with his wife his intention to marry a second wife. MP Soipan Tuya says"It behoves you to be man enough to agree that your wife and family should know".

Despite their walkout, the bill was still passed into law as the men outnumbered the women in the parliament when voting was required.

The law on a brighter side enables Kenyan women to have 30%of any property the couple acquires during marriage and she can go with it even after divorce. The bill amongst other things also bans marriages of anyone below 18, and does not recognize live-in-lovers known as "come-make-we-stay" in Kenya.

Lady Gaga Defends Vomit Performance at SXSW as "Art In Its Purest Form"

To each her own. Lady Gaga knows some people were grossed out -- or even offended -- by her edgy performance at South by Southwest in Austin, Tex., where she brought so-called vomit painter Millie Brown onstage to throw up a green liquid all over her. But she stands by what she did.

"I guess we weren't completely surprised [by the controversy]," Gaga, 27, told Savannah Guthrie when she stopped by the Today show on Friday, March 21. "Millie and I know that not everybody's going to love that performance, but we both really believe in artistic expression and strong identities. And I support her and what she does."

Brown, also 27, came under fire for her part in the singer's SXSW show when Demi Lovato tweeted that vomit art glamorized eating disorders like bulimia. "Bottom line, it's not 'cool' or 'artsy' at all," the X Factor judge wrote. "Putting the word ART in it isn't a free card to do whatever you want without consequences."

Gaga might disagree. "ARTPOP, my new album, is about bringing art and music together in the spirit of

creative rebellion," the "Applause" singer told Guthrie on Today. "And for [me and Millie], that performance was art in its purest form. But we totally understand that people won't be into it."

She went on to say: "Did we want the controversy? I suppose it doesn't matter either way. We don't make things for any intention in particular, other than in the spirit of entertaining the crowd and creating something that was really for the moment."

Her vomit art stunt "wasn't meant for the Today show, it was meant for a club performance in Austin," she explained. "And we had a great time."

Gaga further claimed that nothing she does is just for the attention. "We sometimes think that there's a perception that what I'm doing is all a big show," she said. "And I really truly feel that it's just part of who I am. Every moment of my life is devoted to my music and to my fans, and it's really truly me." She even told Guthrie she'd be doing the same kinds of things if she weren't famous, just "on the Lower East Side" instead of on a national stage.

"Your life is your own art piece," she said. "You can make it whatever you want."

EXCLUSIVE: Star Actress Escapes through Window as Lover's Wife Storms Hotel Room in Calabar!

My-oh-my! Nollywood will never get tired of churning out incredible but true stories. The newest one that just landed on our laps has to do with a star actress and her movie producer lover.

Both of them had gone on a love tryst to the Canaan land of Calabar in Cross River State. This was on the set of the slim movie producer who hails from Delta State. A chronic womanizer, the man had camped the actress who has a baby (out of wedlock) in one of the hotels. No! They were sharing a room. Firing non-stop after every day’s production, news soon got the man’s wife in Lagos and without thinking about it twice, she flew down to Calabar where all hell was let loose.

Arriving very early in the morning and taking her husband and his lover unawares, she was on the verge of

bringing down the roof of the hotel when some of her husband’s production hands aided the actress to escape through the window. But to achieve this, they first took out the room’s air-conditioner from behind, and from that outlet, the actress eventually freed herself and was immediately ferried back to Lagos by one of the producer’s boys in his car.

Dark skinned and of average height, the actress’ first name begins with the seventh alphabet. From the Eastern part of the country, her lover is a father of three, a tacky dresser, but one of the best hands we have around in that sector.

Refusing obstinately to return to Lagos after the actress had escaped, a respected woman of God who is also into movies and based in Calabar had to be invited to talk to the now distraught wife into leaving. She, however, first followed the preacher to her house where she was pacified, counseled and ultimately appeased. But back in Lagos, she would neither let her husband nor the actress be.

Things kept deteriorating until the camel’s back was finally broken. Now all by herself and giving her all to God, aka being born again, many are still talking about the foolishness of her action. Although her husband seems to care less as he is still frolicking with his numerous other women.

I Am Pregnant For My Uncle Who Has Been Sleeping With Me; What Do I Do?

father and daughter

She was naive and the man took advantage of her, now the result has come out:

I am a 19 year old lady. My parents have been separated since I was about 8, and I’m an only child. Since I was about 12 years old, I have been engaging in a sexual affair with my mother’s younger brother who lives with us. When it started initially, it scared me a lot, and when I told my mum, she dismissed my report and accused me of making it up, I even got shouted at, for trying to ’ spoil his name’.

Afterwards, I began to enjoy being with him, I was young, so the little treats he would give me made me feel like he genuinely loved me as he claimed. He was responsible for picking me up from school and I would be home alone with him, whilst I did my homework, he would touch me and I was vulnerable so I responded, and even performed oral sex on him, and I would promise not to tell anybody because nobody would believe me.

At 16, I moved away to boarding school and found that when I left, I missed him a lot, the way he made me feel, the things he said, the way he touched me, the excitement of the secret. I would come home on the holidays excited to see him, and through the holidays, it would continue, sometimes I even initiated it...

On one Christmas holiday, I lost my virginity to him. After that, I genuinely felt like I loved him. I convinced my parents to allow me move back home to attend a day school, and when I did, it just continued. I have never had such strong feelings for any other guy, and whenever I have seen him with women, I’m enraged.

To get to the point, I am now in university, and I am still involved in this relationship, I am not dating and none of my friends know, but now, I am 6 weeks pregnant. I have never been pregnant before, and we usually use protection but I am and it could only be for him, because I have never been with anybody else.

I informed him, he accused me of sleeping around at university and insists that I get an abortion immediately, I can’t talk to anybody else about this and I am desperate for advice. I have cried, and prayed for forgiveness, and the idea of an abortion scares me, but I still find myself wanting to please my uncle, because a part of me really does love him. I also cannot bear the thought of tearing my family apart.

Should I tell somebody about this, or just get an abortion? Please help.
